Man Utd Bag Carling Cup In Penalty Shoot-Out

In what appeared to be an evenly contested match last night, Manchester United is another step closer to realizing their prospect of winning 5 trophies this season as they sealed a 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspurs in a penalty shoot-out after 120 minutes match ended with neither side able to find the back of the net.
Cristiano Ronaldo came closest to sealing a victory for the Red Devils in the final minute of the normal playing time as he desperately shot pass the Spurs' goalkeeper, only for what seemingly to be the winning goal denied by the left post.
The brave Spurs managed to hold on to drag the Red Devils to the penalty shoot-out. Anderson's goal did Manchester United enough to seal their only third League Cup but it was Ben Foster who was the real hero for the night as he stopped several shots in normal time and saved Jamie O'hara's penalty in the penalty shoot-out to deny Spurs their 2nd successive League Cup victory.
Man Utd players were in jubilation as Anderson scored the winning penalty in the shootout
