It's January. Don't expect much of sunlight people for its rainy season. "It's the worst of the four seasons in Brunei this year" so as my dad said. 4 seasons?? I thought Brunei has only 2? Well, according to my dad, there are hot season, hotter season, rainy season and rainier season *WTF*. Surely my dad has his mood reserved for some sense of humour at this time of the season. Anyway, we need that.
This afternoon, somebody belled our house and it went something like this:
*Ding Dong!* followed by
*knock knock* followed by
"hello, is anybody home?"
So the sequence went for quite sometimes until I decided to answer the call since no one in the house bothered to. So I opened the door and........
Me: "Yeah?"
Salesman A with another of his company behind him: "Hi, Ibu ada?"
Me: *I'm 21 with my face messed up with my facial hair, do I still need my parents to handle people like you guys?!!* "Nevermind my parents. No salesman is welcomed here" *while pointing at the notice we posted on our door*
Salesman: "Oh, It's Ok! We are not salesmen. We are just doing door-to-door private advertising. We would like to offer you our service of cleaning out your bed and get rid of dangerous mites and bed bugs. 50% off for first service. Mites are very dangerous you know." *and his crap talk continued*
Me: *So what's the difference between salesman and door-to-door advertising??* "I see. Well we're not interested still. I'll just sleep with the bugs yea? Thank you."
Salesman: Thank you sir. See you! *enthusiatically shook my hand*
p/s: When dealing with salesman, save your money and say no!
