Saturday Episode 2: At 6, Disaster Struck

I was on my way home from Hafiiz's house lapas main game with my friends when I realised that my car got weaker by the time I was in Sg. Liang. "Indakan kerita pun pandai ngalih?" I thought to myself. So I started to slow down, yet hoping the car survived long enough to reach home. My hope was in vain. My car broke down just 15 minutes away from home at Seria bypass. Exact location? Tampat yang bakas, and at that time, still flooded!

Being alone in this very kind of situation is the last thing that I ever hope for. Lucky it was still 6. Cars were still around, lots of 'em. Had I went home much later, I would be stuck in the dark and heavy downpour all alone. So I acted like a 21 year old man and called the towing service (Thank you Takaful BIBD!).

So while I wait, for the tow truck to fetch me and my car:

• I enjoyed my time watching people passing by watching me. Sakai, macam inda pernah meliat kerita rusak siring jalan. You might say "eh, durang prihatin bah tu". If so, they would've pulled over and give me some help or something. Yes, orang Brunei memang orang yang 'prihatin'.
• A friend texted me, saying he saw my car and asked what happened.
• A police vehicle with 4 policemen in it stopped by and asked me what's wrong and offered me a lift. "Inda apa, terima kasih saja. Sudah ku telipun orang towing tadi. Menunggu tah ku ni" I replied.
• Had a phone conversation with my gf and my parents. What else was I suppose to do, masturbate?

All in a space of 45 minutes of loneliness. Then the towing guy called me (ku pikir cina, rupanya Cina Indon):

Towing guy: Alo! Lu punya keleta losak ka?

Me: Awu.

Towing guy: Bleh Lu tunggu sekejap ah? Ni saya dari Kuala Balai bah, mau antar ini satu keleta pigi Seria bah. Lu di mana?

Me: Bah, aku menunggu ni. Ku di Seria bypass ah. Lama kah?

Towing guy: Sekejap lagi lah..eeh ehh! Lu punya keleta itu ka yang pakai emergency light tu?

Me: Ahaa, awu!

Towing guy: Ada nampak sudah. Lu tunggu saja ah?

Me: Ahh!! Lawa! Bah.

And then after a long wait, the towing truck came to my rescue.

The weather condition while I got stuck in this shit.

Me in my towed car. Siapa yang pernah ah? Siok!

My car arrived at the workshop this afternoon.


Workshop scenario:

Mechanic: Apa rosak?

Me: Kerita ku lah.

Mechanic: Part mana?

Me: Ohh..Enjin ku mati ah. Napa ya tu ah?

Mechanic: Cuba you start dulu enjin tu?

*I tried to start the engine and failed*

Mechanic: Timing belt putus.

Me: *sigh* car-less lah aku minggu ani.
